The Mobility Ecosystem
GLOBAL CONNECTIONS, LOCAL IMPACT
THE BERTARELLI-FERRARIS MOBILITY ECOSYSTEM
MILAN AS AN EDUCATIONAL HUB
The extensive experience gained by our Institute in managing incoming mobility has allowed us to consolidate a pioneering, scalable framework capable of transforming international reception into a fully-fledged educational, intercultural, and high-tech integration ecosystem. This model transcends mere administrative and bureaucratic exchange management; it is rooted in innovative pedagogical and structural pillars that guarantee the holistic success, psychological well-being, and future employability of international students, while ensuring the long-term sustainability and prestige of our institution.
To establish this model as an international benchmark, our "Best Practice" framework is powered by the following strategic core assets:

The Mobility Tutor & Peer "Buddy" Network: Upon arrival, a dual-layer support system activates. A dedicated faculty tutor manages academic trajectories, while a structured peer-mentoring (Buddy) network facilitates rapid social and cultural immersion, drastically reducing culture shock and drop-out rates.
Tailored Assessment Protocols and Credit Recognition: The development of flexible, transparent, and targeted assessment criteria aligned with international standards (such as ECTS/ECVET). This framework values prior learning, maps ongoing progress, and certifies both hard technical skills and newly acquired soft skills.
Integration into the Local Strategic Supply Chain (LSSC) and "Made in Italy": A distinctive, high-value element that allows incoming students to immerse themselves directly in the productive, manufacturing, and technological fabric of the region. Through company visits, project work, and workshops co-designed with local industry leaders, we offer high-profile technical training closely linked to the excellence of the "Made in Italy" brand.
Governance and International Relations Office: The presence of a dedicated Internationalization Coordinator and management team ensures strict compliance with procedural standards, seamless quality control, and the continuous monitoring of partnership networks.
EDI (Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) Protocols: Our governance structure includes tailored hospitality frameworks for students from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds or with specific educational needs (SEN), ensuring democratic access to high-quality international mobility.
The Multiplier Effect & Reciprocal Networks: Exceptional incoming management acts as a strategic lever to forge rock-solid, bidirectional institutional agreements. The trust generated creates a "circular pipeline" that directly fuels our outgoing Erasmus+ flows and individual international exchanges, converting hospitality costs into a high-return investment for our local students.
Continuous KPI Monitoring: The International Relations Office utilizes digital dashboards to track student satisfaction, academic progress, and integration KPIs in real-time.
Proven Track Record: Demonstrating the operational readiness and scalability of this model, our Institute boasts a rich history of successfully hosting students from diverse global landscapes—including Japan, Spain, Australia, the United States (California and Missouri), France, and Norway—consistently achieving outstanding results in learning outcomes, socio-cultural inclusion, and systemic curriculum internationalization.
